From Series 1 to ElectroHelix

E-Stim Systems launched the Series 1 in 2004. That powerbox became a staple of the lineup and served as many users’ first introduction to equipment specifically designed for electroplay.
The ElectroHelix™ retains the basic concept of the Series 1 but pairs it with modern electronics. An updated microprocessor and new timing controls provide access to more programs and a wider range of settings.
The Helix is also smaller than its predecessor. With dimensions of approximately 112 × 65 × 41 mm, it fits comfortably in the hand. The control knobs have a rubber grip, and the front panel is easily removable—a handy feature when fingers don’t exactly stay bone-dry during a session.

Five programs: Pulse, Flo, Fire, Milk, and Tease

The ElectroHelix has 5 different program modes: Pulse, Flo, Fire, Milk, and Tease. This gives it two more programs than the original Series 1.
Pulse focuses on individual pulses, while Flo has a smoother character. Milk and Tease add other programmed patterns. Fire is the signature mode that has been associated with E-Stim Systems’ power boxes for years.
You select the mode using a separate push button. The output level does not automatically reset to zero when you switch programs. This allows for a smooth transition, but also means you must be mindful of the set intensity.

Speed, Feel, and Output: Turn Instead of Clicking

E-Stim Systems has deliberately stuck with analog knobs with continuous control. No digital step from, say, level 18 to 19, but a smooth scale that lets you find the point in between yourself.
Each of the three knobs has its own function: The Feel control works in all modes and offers a wide adjustment range. As a result, a single program can feel quite different depending on how you adjust Speed and Feel.

• Output Intensity: determines the output strength.
• Speed: changes the timing and speed of the pulses.
• Feel: changes the character of the electrical sensation within the selected mode.

The large Output dial also offers a practical advantage: when you need to lower the intensity immediately, you can turn it back to zero in a single motion. No need to open a menu or tap the minus sign five times. Sometimes, good old-fashioned turning is actually quite modern.

Sport Mode: the Helix gets sharper teeth

In addition to the five programs, the ElectroHelix has a special Sport Mode. This is not a separate sixth program.
You activate Sport Mode by holding down the Fire button while turning on the ElectroHelix. The power box then switches to a sharper and more intense output characteristic.
E-Stim compares it to the Sport button in a performance car. The engine is the same, but the response becomes much more spirited. In this setting, too, always start low with the Output control and build up the intensity gradually.

Red Pack: with Small Satin Finish Electro Egg

The main difference between the standard ElectroHelix and this Helix Red Pack lies in the included electrode. E-Stim Systems includes a Small Bipolar Electro Egg with Satin Finish.
The metal Electro Egg is designed as an insertable electrode for vaginal and anal use. It is bipolar, meaning that both electrical contact areas are integrated into the same electrode. As a result, a second separate electrode is not necessary when the Egg is used correctly.
E-Stim Systems applies the Satin Finish by blasting microscopic particles of material onto the surface. This creates an even satin sheen that looks more durable and subtle than a high-gloss finish. Under the right light, the metal also takes on a slight sparkle.

Bipolar Electro Egg with Direct Connection

The included Electro Egg has its own cable that allows it to be connected directly to the 3.5 mm output of the ElectroHelix. This means you do not need a separate output cable for this electrode.
With a bipolar electrode, both electrical poles run through the same insertable. This makes the Egg a straightforward way to explore internal e-stim: connect it, insert it carefully, and then build up to your desired setting starting from zero.
Use plenty of suitable water-based lubricant and never force an insertable electrode. Stop immediately if you experience pain, irritation, bleeding, or any other clearly unpleasant reaction.

Four pads for external electroplay

In addition to the Electro Egg, you’ll receive four self-adhesive electrode pads. A 3.5 mm to 2 mm/TENS cable is included in the case for this purpose.
Each pad forms a single electrical contact point. Use them on clean, dry, and intact skin, and ensure that at least two suitable contact points form part of the circuit.
After use, gently peel the pads away from the edge and place them back on their protective film. Do not submerge the self-adhesive pads in water, and prevent the conductive adhesive layer from getting unnecessarily dirty. Replace pads if they are damaged, no longer stick properly, or show signs of significant wear.

One channel, deliberately kept simple

The ElectroHelix has one 3.5 mm output channel. This is a key difference from the ElectroPebble, which has two channels.
That doesn’t simply make the Helix a smaller version of the ElectroPebble. Instead, E-Stim Systems positions it as an accessible powerbox where direct control takes center stage. No audio input, no external controls, and no extensive digital menu—just five programs, Speed, Feel, stepless intensity adjustment, and the Fire button.
Those looking for more channels and programs later on can upgrade to the ElectroPebble within the same product family. For two isolated channels and significantly more features, E-Stim Systems offers the 2B.

Insert the battery and get started

The ElectroHelix runs on a standard 9V alkaline PP3 battery. E-Stim Systems deliberately chose a replaceable battery instead of a built-in rechargeable battery. When the battery runs out, you can insert a new one in just a few seconds.
The power box also features built-in battery monitoring and self-test functions. Clear LED indicators provide information on the self-test, battery status, output, and active mode, among other things.
The required 9V battery is already included in the Red Pack. So here, too, the box doesn’t immediately require a trip to the electronics store after opening.

Getting Started Safely with the Helix Red Pack

Connect the desired electrode while the ElectroHelix is turned off and turn the Output knob all the way down. Only then should you turn on the powerbox and slowly increase the intensity.
When using a new electrode, a different placement, or Sport Mode, start again at a low setting. This is because the same position on the knob may not feel the same with a different electrode.
When engaging in electroplay, be mindful of the electrical current path between the contact points. E-Stim Systems advises beginners to keep contact points below the waist. Do not use e-stim around the head and neck, and avoid a current path through the chest area. Do not use e-stim if you have a pacemaker or other electronic implant, and read the manufacturer’s safety information before first use.
