Small or Large: which size is right for you?
The
E-Stim Systems Slider Small features a rounded head with a diameter of
25.4 mm. This shape is derived from the E-Stim Flange and is the more accessible of the two models. E-Stim Systems recommends the Small model for users new to insertable e-stim, as well as anyone who simply prefers a more compact size.
The
E-Stim Systems Slider Large increases the diameter to
38.1 mm. Its head is based on the Moaner, one of the British manufacturer’s best-known insertable electrodes. The larger diameter provides a noticeably fuller size, while the adjustment mechanism remains identical.
The base of both versions has a diameter of approximately
50.8 mm. The neck mechanism and the available interchangeable necks are also the same for both the Small and Large models.
An electrode whose length you can adjust yourself
The heart of the Slider is literally located between the head and the base. Instead of a neck with a single fixed length, E-Stim Systems uses a
sliding neck.
Every Slider comes standard with the Standard Neck. This allows you to adjust the distance from approximately
3 to 55 mm. So you’re not limited to a 55 mm neck—55 mm is actually the maximum setting.
Loosen the small locking screw with the included Allen wrench, slide the neck to the desired position, and then tighten the screw again. At the end of the locking screw is a nylon contact surface that grips the neck without damaging the material.
Before use, check by hand to ensure the mechanism is securely locked. E-Stim recommends applying only a moderate amount of force to the locking screw. Tight is tight; this is precision work, not a wheel nut.
From 3 to 55 mm with the included neck
The adjustment range makes a significant difference compared to conventional insertable electrodes. You can position the head and base relatively close together and then gradually increase the distance.
According to E-Stim Systems, this does not merely change the physical position of the electrode. It also changes the
distance between the two electrical contact zones.
When the contacts are closer together, the electrical path between the two contact points is shorter. A greater distance creates a longer path between the contact zones. As a result, the same powerbox set to the same intensity can feel noticeably different simply by adjusting the Slider.
The dial on your powerbox determines the strength of the signal; the Slider adds a second variable by determining
where and at what distance the two contact areas are positioned relative to each other.
Three interchangeable necks: Short, Standard, and Long
With the standard neck included in the package, you already have a range of 3–55 mm. However, E-Stim Systems has designed the system to be modular. There are three neck variants: The Short and Long Necks are available separately. All three fit both the Small and Large Sliders.

The Short Neck also reduces the amount of material protruding below the base. E-Stim Systems therefore recommends this version if you want to wear the Slider for extended periods or sit while wearing it. When combined with a 4 mm Low Profile Cable, the cable connection also remains closer to the base.
The Long Neck does exactly the opposite and extends the maximum reach to 75 mm. As a result, a single Slider can take on a completely different character with a different neck attachment without requiring you to purchase a brand-new electrode.
Fully bipolar with two 4 mm connectors
Both the Small and Large Slider are
bipolar e-stim electrodes. This means both electrical contact points are located within the same electrode.
The base contains
two 4 mm sockets. Both must be connected to complete the bipolar circuit. For this, you’ll need a compatible cable with two 4 mm connectors.
A connection cable is not included with the Slider as standard.
The Slider works with all current E-Stim Systems power boxes, including the ElectroHelix, ElectroPebble, 2B, ABox, and Remote. It can also be used with many power boxes from other manufacturers if you have an electrically compatible cable or adapter.
Small: Based on the E-Stim Flange
The
Slider Small features the distinctive head shape of the E-Stim Flange. With a diameter of 25.4 mm, this is the more compact option in the Slider series.
This makes the Small model an attractive option if you’re primarily curious about the adjustable design without immediately opting for the larger Moaner model. The wide base remains the same as on the Large model, so you don’t compromise on the functional design of the Slider system.
So, in this case, smaller doesn’t mean a stripped-down version. You get exactly the same adjustment mechanism, the same neck options, and the same dual 4-mm connection—just with a more compact head.
Large: the Moaner gains freedom of movement
The
Slider Large was developed based on the E-Stim Moaner. Its rounded head measures approximately 38.1 mm, offering significantly more volume than the Small model.
According to E-Stim Systems’ current specifications, the Large Slider has a
maximum total length of approximately 145 mm and a
maximum insertable length of approximately 110 mm in its standard configuration. It weighs approximately
319 grams.
For those already familiar with the Moaner design but wanting more control over the distance between the head and the base, this is essentially its logical evolution. The familiar head has simply been given a neck that has finally learned that standing still isn’t mandatory.
CNC-machined in the United Kingdom
E-Stim Systems manufactures the Slider in its own workshop in Watford, United Kingdom. The construction uses
aircraft-grade aluminum, stainless steel, and food-safe plastic.
The aluminum parts are CNC-machined for a precise fit. The plastic neck serves as the electrically insulating section between the two conductive contact zones, while the stainless steel central fastener holds the structure together.
The result is not a mass-produced cast item but a modular precision instrument deliberately designed to be adjusted, taken apart, and reassembled.
Fully Disassemblable for Cleaning
The Slider can be completely disassembled. The head, neck, base ring, housing, and locking screw can be cleaned separately. This is a significant advantage for a design with moving and adjustable parts.
Turn off the power box, remove the cable, and carefully disassemble the electrode. Use a mild, fragrance-free cleanser, a suitable toy cleaner, or a suitable medical cleaning solution. Avoid alkaline and corrosive agents; these can discolor the metal.
E-Stim Systems notes that the metal electrode parts can also be treated with 70% isopropyl alcohol. Thorough rinsing and allowing the parts to dry completely remain important, especially around seams and connections.
Do not reassemble the Slider until all parts are completely dry.
Water-Based Lubricant for Insertion and Electrical Conductivity
E-Stim Systems recommends using a
water-based lubricant with the Slider, including its own ElectroGel. This facilitates both smooth insertion and good electrical conductivity between the contact areas and the body.
The manufacturer advises against using silicone and hybrid lubricants with its insertable electrodes.
It is best to adjust the neck before inserting the Slider. Loosen the locking screw, select the desired distance, carefully tighten it again, and check that it is locked in place. Then start with the power box set to the lowest setting and gradually increase the intensity.

Safe Use
Connect both 4 mm connectors while the power box is turned off. Pre-set the Slider and ensure the locking screw securely holds the neck in place. Start each new configuration with the intensity set to the lowest level and build up slowly.
Do not use e-stim around the head and neck, and avoid current paths through the chest area. Do not use electrostimulation during pregnancy, if you have epilepsy, a heart condition, or an electronic implant such as a pacemaker or insulin pump.
